My Favorite Commercial-

My favorite commercial would have to be those freecreditreport.com commercials. I like them because they always have a song to the commercial. The songs kind of tells some part of their life. But two of my favorite commercials from freecreditreport.com in particular are the “New Car” and the “Dream Girl” commercials.

The “New Car” commercial takes place in a cars (as in the people are in the car). And they drive away from a used car dealership place. Their car is like, so messed up–it’s really ugly. And in the chorus of the song, it goes, F-R-E-E that spells free credit report dot com baby (: Okay, the “Dream Car” commercial is he married his dream girl and he didn’t know that her credit is bad. So, they have to live in her parents’ basement (as said in the song).

I think the ad type is “exemplary story” — I’m so sure.

Website Reflection Post

Reflection Blog Post

    On our project, we did a website on Marciano “Mark” Vega Pangilinan. My partners are Almin and Jonathan. We chose Mark Pangilinan because Jonathan thought that he could interview him; but later on, didn’t. Also because he’s Filipino and we were all Filipino too. (;

We could have done a lot of things differently. We should’ve chosen a different person because there wasn’t a lot of information about him. But still, we learned a lot about him. We could’ve done the whole website differently because the layout seemed childish. We also could’ve gotten more pictures of him.

If I could create another website on someone else, I would’ve chosen Martin Luther King Jr. I would’ve chosen him because he has a lot of information on him. He also did an important part in society. I would include a lot of pictures, a video, and a lot of information on him. I would have chosen him because he is sort of a popular person to do a biography on and like I said, there is a lot of information on him.

Historical Figure~ Journal Entry #13

Jane Addams

If I would research on a historic figure, I would research on Jane Addams. I picked her because I didn’t really know who to pick. I also picked her because I read about her sometime during elementary. I knew she founded Hull House and that’s also one thing that inspired me to pick her.

Theme Parks! ~ Journal Entry #12

The theme parks that Almin and I looked at were Six Flags, Disney Land, California’s Great America, and Universal Studios. Those of all are in California. Six Flags’ family price was $79.96. Disney Land’s family price was $256. California’s Great America’s family price was $179.96. Universal Studios’ family price was $248. The median price was $213.98.

The park Almin and I chose was Six Flags. Six Flags’ family price was nearest to the median price–along with California’s Great America which was also 179.96, but we just picked Six Flags. I thought that Six Flags’ theme park was okay, because it didn’t really look as nice as Disney Land’s. Disney Land’s rides looked pretty cool on their website. But when we found out the family price, Almin and I were like really suprised. We felt suprised because the family price was really expensive–which was $256 just for a family of four.

Anit-Bullying~ Journal Entry #11

Anti-Bullying Day(:

At some of the sessions during the Anti-bullying day were kinda boring yet funny. First, I went to the gym. The peer mediators put on a presentation and a skit. First, they started off with some few brain teasers. Then a powerpoint presentation, then a the skit. After the gym, my class went to room 45. They had a lady present a powerpoint presentation about the different types of bullying. She also had some student act out the different types of bullying. After room 45, my class went to room 43. There, Mr. McDow was showing a powerpoint presention too. It was pretty funny.

These workshops could have been improved in many ways. Where the peer mediators were, they were kind of unorganized. They could have been more ‘neat’. In room 45, was okay, I guess. In room 43, was almost the same as room 45. In all the workshops I went to, all the thing they were talking about were all the same. They were all saying they same thing. They were all repeating themselves.

What I Learned During My Christmas Vacation

On Christmas Eve, My family had a party at our house. The first lesson I learned is, to spend time with family whenever you can. All of my mom’s cousins and families came to our house. There were various activities. We played games and won prizes. There was even karaoke.

On New Year’s Eve, my family and I went to my grandma’s house. Most of the people who went to the Christmas party came to the New Year’s party. First, we ate some food. Then, when we were done, the kids decided to play with some candles. We did that because we had nothing to do and we were bored. We started burning ranmdom things. We burned some Hot Cheetohs, which really was a flaming hot cheetoh. We also burned some leaves because we ran out of Hot Cheetohs. Most of us, actually, got burned. We even played with some sparklers. The lesson I learned is, not to play with fire for unnecessary reasons.

Taking A Good Photo~ Journal Entry #9

Do you want to know how to take good pictures? Well, I tell you how to. If you want to focus on a picture, you should press the shutter button half way. That way it’ll auto focus. To reduce red-eye, maybe you should turn off flash or, press the red-eye button. If you are in the dark, and you want to take a picture, you should use fill-flash.

If you want to take close-up pictures, use the macro setting. I guess you don’t want to be really close to something or someone, so you could just use the digital zoom. If you have a setting on you camera where you can view the exposure, you can find the amount of light you want in your picture. If your camera has a lot of megapixels, you can make them larger without seeing it blurry. If your picture is blurry, I guess that the resolution is bad. When you put it into your computer, the file should be either JPG, PNG, or TIFF.

My Survey:)

I chose those questions because I am a very curious person and I want to learn more about people. I asked what is your favorite subject because I like school. Most people put other, it was 46%. Well, I like most of school. I asked what is your favorite tech toy because I am really into electronics. I asked what is your hobby because, like I said I am a very curious person.People had very interesting answers.I had 37 responses. Most of the people put other on their favorite tech toy which was 46%. The second for that one is, iPod which was 28%. I know that people are really into music right?

I liked a lot of people’s surveys. Most of them were very interesting. I thought Alyssa had an interesting survey. I liked her’s because her questions were things that most people were into these days (: . I also liked Shaira’s survey because it had Twilight (: . There were a lot of people who’s surveys were interesting too.

Journal Entry #7

Halloween Day:)

During the activity, I went to room T-7. We were going to watch a movie. It took a really long time for the movie to start. We were suppose to watch the movie, “Chuckie”. The TV wouldn’t play the movie. There was nothing wrong with the DVD player, so I guess it was the TV’s fault. The TV, I believe, was Chinese, so it was really hard to start the movie. For about 45 minutes, my teacher quit trying to start the movie. So, my teacher just let us do whatever we want. My friends and I bought some food and took pictures.

After about 30 minutes, my teacher decided for us to go out to the field and play soccer. I didn’t want to play. We cheered for our friends. After a while, my friends and I got bored. So we just kept pacing on the bleachers. It was really hot outside. For the rest of the activity, my friends just took pictures. The activity for me, was just boring.

Okay, The End:)

Interviews

Jude: “I hung out with my friends. It was boring.”

Winona: “I went to Ms. Rivera’s class. It was fun.”

Naomi: “I went to the dance then I went to room 27. It was fun.”
